Genetically modified T cells (A) are produced by (i) stimulating, in vitro, T cells (A1) of a transplant recipient with cells (B1) from a transplant donor or cells (B2) that express dominant MHC (major histocompatibility complex) molecules and (ii) simultaneously or subsequently, transduction of (A1) by gene transfer of immunomodulatory, therapeutic genes (I). An Independent claim is also included for a method for producing (A).
