The invention discloses a new kind of polypeptide-HOMO DNA-dependent RNA polymerase AC40 subunit inhibitor 9.68 and polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide and a process for producing said polypeptide by DNA recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as embryo peroplasia, protein dysbolism, and cancer. Antagonist and the therapeutic use of the polypeptide is also disclosed. In addition, it refers to the use of polynucleotide encoding said HOMO DNA-dependent RNA polymerase AC40 subunit inhibitor 9.68.
