P Process for hydrotreating a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising a step in which said feedstock is passed under hydrodesulfurization conditions comprising a temperature of approximately 260 degreC to approximately 450 degreC and a pressure of approximately 2 MPa to approximately 20 MPa and hydrogen in a hydrodesulfurization zone, a step in which the partially desulphurized effluent from the hydrodesulfurization step is sent to a stripping zone in which it is purified by at least one gas containing hydrogen under conditions of formation of a stripping gaseous effluent containing hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide and a liquid effluent containing substantially no more hydrogen sulfide, a step in which the liquid effluent from l the stripping step is sent to a hydrotreatment zone maintained under hydrotreatment conditions making it possible to obtain an effluent that is partially de-aromatized and partially d desulfurized. The stripping step is characterized in that the gaseous effluent from this step is cooled to a temperature sufficient to form a liquid fraction which is returned to the top of the stripping zone. /P
