Longitudinal magnetization field is applied to region outside area of interest of patient to change spin of that region. By applying NMR signals to the area of interest of the patient, spin of that area is changed and two-dimensional (2D) image pulse sequences (210) are generated. The field applications are repeated. By reconstruction of the 2D image pulse sequences, 2D image is projected on screen. Longitudinal magnetization field is applied to the region outside the area of interest of the patient by RF excitation pulses. An Independent claim is also included for magnetic resonance imaging system.
