Developing tanks for photographic materials have a bridge unit between the tanks in a hood structure to shroud the passage between the tanks from the ambient air to prevent evaporation and crystallizing of the liquid chemicals
The appts. for the development of photographic materials has at least two liquid tanks, containing liquids at different levels (14A-14C), with at least one dividing wall (12A,12B) between the tanks. At least one bridge (10A,10B) covers the two tanks, in a hood structure, with an edge (16A,16B) with two openings (18A-18C) which match up with at least one dividing wall (12A,12B). In the working position, the hood edge (16A,16B) is wholly immersed below the liquid levels (14A-14C) in both tanks, except for the openings (18A-18C). The hood structure of the bridge (10A,10B) forms a hollow zone within it, shrouded against the ambient environment, where the photographic material is transferred between the tanks.
