Process for deforming thin-walled workpieces (7) uses a deforming tool (1) which is contacted with the workpiece during deformation. The tool is provided with a fluid-rejecting coating (8). Preferred Process: The stamp (3) of the deformation tool is provided with the coating, which is applied by vacuum deposition, plating, thermal spraying, electroforming, lacquering, enameling or anodizing.
