Test arrangement for axial and radial testing of seals for slip, sealing and locking behavior under a wide range of temperature and pressure for use in testing industrial seals
Two seals are placed on a mounting unit where one is a test seal and the other is a reference seal and then a test or operating pressure is applied to the space between the two seals. Ideally a force equilibrium exists between the two seals so that additional axial bearings, which can influence the friction moment on the bearings, are not necessary.
