PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing an Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seem extract and an amono acid is provided, which can effectively improve and prevent the progress of skin senescence by inhibiting the accumulation of lactic acid as a main cause of fatigue. CONSTITUTION: This skin-protecting cosmetic composition comprises 0.01 to 20.0% by weight of an Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seem extract and 0.1 to 10.0% by weight of an amono acid based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition, wherein the amino acid is l-lysine or aspartate or mixtures thereof. The washed Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seem is mixed with purified water or lower alcohol in a volume of 1 to 10 times based on the dry weight of the Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seem.
