PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor for data input and to improve operability and security when purchasing an article online. SOLUTION: The information such as the name, address and credit card number of a user 10 owning a user terminal 1 is registered in a user information DB inside an agent server 2 by correlating it with a user ID issued from the agent server 2. When purchasing the article from the contents of a shopping site 3 displayed on the user terminal 1, the user 10 instructs purchase not from a purchase button on the contents but from a purchase button designated by especially prepared agent software. With this instruction, the article information extracted from the contents is sent to the agent server 2. The agent server 2 instructs the settlement of the price to a card company server 4 connected by a leased line and transfers the instruction of article purchase to the shopping site 3 while concealing the credit card information.
