PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for initializing a real time kinematic GPS/ GLONASS positioning system and a real time kinematic GPS positioning system whereby the real time kinematic GPS/GLONASS positioning system and the real time kinematic GPS positioning system can be initialized in a short time even when waves from satellites intermittently reach because the sky is partly shielded by obstacles, and hence stable positioning is enabled. ;SOLUTION: Satellite flight information is obtained beforehand. A time zone in which none of satellites of the number necessary for initializing the real time kinematic GPS/GLONASS positioning system or the real time kinematic GPS positioning system is shielded by the obstacle 5 is selected. Satellites from which to receive waves are selected or waves are forcibly prevented from being received from the satellites so as not to acquire data intermittently sent from the satellites.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
