The wiper system consists of a through beam (12), fixed to the vehicle and carrying a guide bearing for the drive shaft. The beam includes a plate section (18) with an opening (22) for the perpendicular passage of the tubular bearing body (16). The tube is fixed to the plate by a radial collar (24), which bears axially against the primary face (26) of the plate, and by a second radial collar (28), which bears on the second face (30) of the plate.
