Gas discharge lamp operating circuit e.g. for motor vehicle, has microcomputer with data, and table values representing lamp operating state enabling drive arm to be influenced to maintain optimal operating conditions
The circuit has a drive arm (2-4) and a feedback arm (6,7,8,10,11) for detecting a parameter characteristic of the drive arm, converting it and feeding it back to the drive arm to maintain optimal lamp operating conditions. The feedback arm has a microcomputer (7) containing or associated with stored data and table values representing the lamp operating state enabling the drive arm to be influenced to maintain optimal operating conditions.
