PURPOSE: A method for extracting an adaptive object using the study of object-dependent features is provided to extract bigger number of desired object regions using object-dependent features. CONSTITUTION: A method for extracting an adaptive object using the study of object-dependent features includes a first through a third steps. At the first step, an object is extracted using common features when an image frame including object of interest is input. At the second step, an auxiliary object-dependent feature is studied when it is determined that a reasonable object is extracted. At the third step, a final object is extracted using the common feature and the studied object-dependent feature after the studying of the object-dependent feature.
