"The stannous fluoride gel composition, and process for producing compositions of stannous fluoride gel.The present invention relates to a gel containing stannous fluoride, comprising from about 0.3% to about 1.0% (by weight) of stannous fluoride, about 1.0% to about 10% (by weight) of thickening agent of silica and anhydrous glycerin. Preferably, these gels also contain from about 0.01% to about 5% (by weight) of a system of gum, for example.Hydroxyethyl cellulose. These gels exhibit very good qualities of rigidity of tape and excellent stability of the fluoride ion and stannous ion.In addition, the present invention relates to a process for producing the above improved gels.This process uses equipment of mixture commonly used to manufacture dentifrices and provides a scheme of simplified processing.
