PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low SiO2 sintered ore, with which the low Si operation is stably enabled for long time in a blast furnace, desirably so as to stably keep the Si concn. in molten iron to ≤0.3 wt.%. ;SOLUTION: In this method obtd. based on such knowledge that the Si content in the molten iron is affected largely with not only SiO2 content in a sintered ore, but also the ratio of CaO component to FeO component, and the Si concn. in the molten iron can stably be reduced in the blast furnace operation using the low SiO2 sintered ore by regulating the CaO/FeO ratio to a specific level or above, the SiO2 component is regulated to ≥5.0 wt.% and the wt. ratio [CaO%]/[FeO%] of the CaO component to the FeO componen is regulated to ≥1.55.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
