PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To handle even the inaccuracy of a parameter with various design specifications and restrictions expressible as a linear matrix inequality(LMI) or a bilinear matrix inequality(BMI) as objects and to perform handling even in the case of a non-projected restriction by combining a general purpose numerical expression processing means and a limited symbol elimination processing means. ;SOLUTION: An LMI/BMI formulation part 11 holds information for which the design specifications and the restrictions are formulated as the LMI and the BMI. An initialization part 12 formulates the supplied problem of a control system as a half positive definite value schedule problem or an extension half positive definite value schedule problem. A problem analysis part 13 solves the supplied problem by utilizing a limited symbol elimination processing part 14 and a general purpose numerical expression processing part 15. The general purpose numerical expression processing part 15 deforms the restrictions expressed as the LMI and the BMI to the restrictions of the form of connecting inequalities by OR and converts the supplied problem into a 1st-order predicate logic expression. The limited symbol elimination processing part 14 eliminates a variable to which a limited symbol is attached in the 1st-order predicate logic expression.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
