PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a handling apparatus capable of preventing the loosening and falling of molded treating object and the disintegration of the object by placing a molded treating object on a desired position by a specific method. ;SOLUTION: The molded treating object B is formed by compressing plural treating objects to form a nearly cylindrical form and binding the cylindrical side face of the cylinder. The handling apparatus is provided with at least two clamping members 115, 116 having contacting faces 115a, 116a contacting with two circular planes of the treating object B, a clamping member operation mechanism 111, or the like, and a transfer means. The clamping means 115, 116 are operated to bring the contacting faces 115a, 116a into close contact with two circular planes of the object B, the object B is clamped, lifted and transferred while keeping the clamped state and lowered, and the contacting state of two circular planes of the object B with the contacting faces 115a, 116a is released to position the treating object B at a desired position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
