PURPOSE: To simply, easily and surely obtain a billet suitable to half-melting molding by solidifying molten Al alloy held to a specific superheat at a specific cooling temp. ;CONSTITUTION: The molten aluminum alloy is held to 30° superheat to the liquidus temp. This molten metal is solidified at ≥1.0 °C/s solidified range cooling rate to obtain the aluminum alloy casting billet having fine equiaxed crystal structure. The aluminum alloy uses the one adding 0.001-0.01% B and 0.005-0.30% Ti. Further, in the aluminum alloy, Si is contained at 4-6%. At the time of producing, the molten metal is supplied which finely oscillating a metallic mold for billet in the almost right angle direction to the liquid supplying direction to produce this billet.
