PURPOSE: To provide a decolorizing method and a decolorizing device capable of remarkably improving the decolorizing speed of a toner image formed on a sheet body. ;CONSTITUTION: A decolorizing means is provided with a heater 33 and a means(light source 35) for radiating near infrared rays. A recording paper 6 where the toner image is formed with toner which can be photochemically decolorized is heated by a heater 33 to a temperature which is equal to or above the glass transition temperature of the binding resin of the toner, or equal to or above the softening point of the binding resin, and under the thermal separation temperature of the component of the toner, and irradiated with the near infrared rays while holding the heated state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
