摘要
This invention refers to a variety of flax for fibre (Linum usitatissimum L. ssp. euroasiaticum proles elongata, subproles subelongata Vav. et Ell) named Ioana, obtained by sexed cross-breeding and recurrent individual selection, with variety Lazurnîi as maternal genitor and variety K-6 as paternal genitor, recommended to be cultivated in all areas favourable for cultivating flax for fibre, throughout the country. When technically matured, the plant is green-yellowish in colour. The stem has no base ramifications. Mature plants are 95...110 cm high. The inflorescence is semi-erect. The flower is blue. The capsules are long, with the vertical diameter wider than the horizontal diameter. The seeds are of medium size, egg-shaped, glossy brown in colour. 1000 seeds weight 5.6 plus or minus 0.8 g and hectoliter weight is 69.2, plus or minus 1.5 kg. It is semi-tardy, with period of vegetation of 94, plus or minus 3 days. It presents good resistance to dropping, drought and fusarium wilt. The fibre content is 25.4 percent. Average yield is 7243 kg of stems per hectare.
