PURPOSE:To reduce fluctuation in phase in a broad control range by compensating phase change with respect to high frequency voltage detection value on the basis of phase change compensation principally decided with respect to high frequency voltage given to cavity. CONSTITUTION:When the detection signal P(rf) of a high frequency voltage from a directional coupler is input to the high frequency voltage detector 25 of an excitation, a high frequency voltage value signal P is generated from the signal P(rf) at the detector 25 and then output. Further when this signal P is input to a phase unit controller 18, the phase change compensation decided to a high frequency voltage value is output as a phase unit control signal. At a phase unit 19 a phase is controlled so that the phase change of high frequency signal may be compensated according to this control signal. With this arrangement, by enabling the controlling 18 to maintain a function generating ability of generating a function of relation on phase change compensation with respect to a high frequency voltage value, the phase change given to cavity can be suppressed without performing closed loop control of phase.
