PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a floor having a high vibration-damper effect at a low cast by composing a member (a floor joist) supporting a floor board made of steel and being made of steel if channel steel, installing a switch into the flange section of the channel steel through a viscoelastic body and reducing vibrations in the vertical direction. ;SOLUTION: A member 3 (a floor joist) supporting a floor board and being made of steel is constituted of C steel, channel steel or a heck plate (a corrugated steel plate), and a floor vibration damper 5 is mounted horizontally on the inside of the member 3. The damper is configured by fixing a weight 7 by adhesives 8 through a viscoelastic body 6, in which a spring constant is kept within a range of 0.7-1.0 times as large as the natural frequency of the floor slab. Another end of the weight 7 is bonded with the upper flange of the channel steel 3 through the viscoelastic body and can also be connected to the upper flange through a steel bar. The weight can also be bonded with the floor slab through the viscoelastic body at the time of the deck plate. Impact vibrations in the vertical direction generated on floor face is reduced by the damper 5. Accordingly, a high vibration damping effect can be acquired at at low manufacturing cost.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
