PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent destruction of the whole body and scattering of parts and fragments due to an explosion by providing a case with a pressure releasing aperture part formed in a prescribed shape using a thin part which ruptures when the inner pressure is elevated to a prescribed value. ;SOLUTION: In the case that an accident such as inner short circuit and the inner pressure is elevated to a prescribed value inside a gas switchgear G1 in which a case rear plate P1 having a pressure releasing structure is built, the thin part 1 composing the pressure releasing aperture-forming plate 2 can not stand the inner pressure and is ruptured. Consequently, the aperture-forming plate 2 is separated to the outside and at the same time the gas inside at the elevated pressure is at once released to the outside of the case through the pressure releasing aperture and the inner pressure is lowered. As a result, destruction of the whole body of the switchgear G1 due to an explosion is prevented and parts and fragments are also prevented from scattering. Since air-tightness of the thin part 1 is reliably retained, no seal structure is required and no complicated structure to be added to the structure is made no need and as a whole, the structure is simplified.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
