An insecticidal composition for use against insects, comprising a mixture of genetically modified insect viruses and chemical and biological insecticides for improved insect control is described. Genetic modification of the virus involves insect control or insertion of genes that express modified substances, such as toxins, neuropeptides or enzymes. The genetic modification of the virus also involves the deletion of the gene.
