PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure two main-axis thermal conductivities and the main shaft angle simultaneously by supplying a constant heat quantity to a spot heat source for energization, and measuring the temps. of the measuring points while equal heat quantity is taken off from a spot heat source for cooling. ;SOLUTION: A spot heat source 0 for energization is located on the surface of a two-dimensional anisotropic thermo-conductive substance 6. A constant current is fed to a heater 7 so that a heat quantity of +Q is generated, which is applied to the spot heat source 0. Another spot heat source 5 for cooling is set in a position away from the spot heat source 0 and connected with an absorptive heat source 11, and cooling is made with a heat quantity of -Q. Measuring points 1-4 are located in positions away from the spot heat sources 0 and 5, and temps. of these points are measured by a thermometer such as thermocouple. A computer 12 calculates the temp. difference by a temp. measuring instrument 9 or using temps. T1-T4 obtained. Finally two main shaft thermal conductivities λ1, λ2 and the main shaft angle ϕ are calculated from the temp. difference, the heat quantity, positions of the measuring points 1-4, and the thickness (h) of the sample, and the results are emitted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
