摘要
Matrix moulding material suitable for placing in the matrix of moulding models such as wax models and plastic models esp. for the mfr. of hollow moulds for casting pure Ti or Ti alloys is novel in that the matrix moulding material contains: (i) 50-100 pts. wt. matrix moulding material contg. binder and/or expanding components, the expanding components having a grain size of 0.01-50 mu m, esp. 0.1-53 mu m, most esp. 1.0-20 mu m, (ii) 80-140 pts. wt. solid substance with a melting point of at least 1900 deg C which is a metal oxide, and (iii) 2-10 pts. wt. of reducing substance, which is pref. a carbon-contg. substance, esp. graphite and/or activated carbon. Also claimed is a process for forming a cast piece from pure Ti or Ti alloy comprising: (a) mixing the above matrix moulding material with twice-distilled water; (b) coating a model made of synthetic wax or similar material with the matrix moulding material-water mixt. and then heating to produce a casting mould in a cast retort; (c) coupling the matrix moulding material to a casting appts. ; (d) introducing solid Ti or Ti alloy to a crucible and heating the crucible in the casting appts.; (e) introducing molten Ti or Ti alloy pref. using centrifugal force into the casting mould while filling the hollow chamber of the casting mould, pref. via a casting channel which connects the crucible with the hollow mould; and (f) evacuating the casting retort and crucible. A glass carbon or graphite crucible is used. The casting retort is heated to 700-850 deg C, pref. 750-800 deg C and the crucible to 1750 deg C.
