PURPOSE: To discover a person who possibly suffers from cataract by measuring self antibody for crystal lens specific antigen in human humor by the immunity measurement method using the crystal lens specific antigen. ;CONSTITUTION: Crystal lens crystallin, film protein of crystal lens, and the receptacle are used for crystal lens specific antigen. Blood, plasma, and serum are used for human humor. First, the self antibody for the crystal lens specific antigen in human humor is allowed to react with the crystal lens specific antigen which is plotted at a membrane filter by the immunoblast method and is allowed to react with the crystal lens specific antigen immobilized to a solid phase by the enzyme immunoassay method. Then, a secondary antibodies for human immunity globulin which are labeled together are added and the labeled secondary antibody which is connected to the self antibody is measured. These crystal lens specific antigen, the secondary antibody for human immunity globulin, and a color developing agent for measuring the secondary antibody are used as a reagent kit, thus measuring the self antibody and preventing the progress of cataract.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
