PURPOSE: To obtain the subject nontoxic endoplasmic reticulum excellent in immobilizing ability for functional substances, presenting no side effects, thus useful for medicine carriers, test reagents, adjuvants, etc., by binding a specific reactive group to only the outer surface of a phospholipid as an endoplasmic reticulum-forming component. ;CONSTITUTION: This endoplasmic reticulum having structure of formula II (Lip-NH denotes an endoplasmic reticulum containing an amino group-bearing phospholipid as an endoplasmic reticulum-forming component) is represented by such a structure that a reactive group of formula I (R1 is H or CH3; AO is a 2-4C oxyalkylene; (n) is 1-1000) is bound to only the outer surface of an endoplasmic reticulum through the urethane linkage of the amino group existing on the outer surface of the endoplasmic reticulum containing an amino group- bearing phospholipid as an endoplasmic reticulum-forming component. This endoplasmic reticulum can be obtained by reaction of a compound of formula III (R2 is the same as R1) with an endoplasmic reticulum containing an amino group-bearing phospholipid as an endoplasmic reticulum-forming component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
