PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of 'seagullwing' by forming an A1 strip in a waving state in a zone of a specific temp. or higher of a material and in a catenary state in the other zone at the time of executing heat treatment by floating up and carrying the A1 strip. ;CONSTITUTION: The A1 strip S is carried into a continuous treatment furnace 1 in the arrow direction marked with X and continuously carried through a heating zone A, slow cooling zone B and cooling zone C in a floating-up condition, and the heat treatment is executed. Then, in the catenary zone Zc1 of the heating zone A, a high temp. fluid is sprayed from the top and the bottom to the strip S by floater nozzles 10 to form the strip to the suspending condition, and by blowing the high temp. fluid from round nozzles 13, the strip is heated. In the seagull zone Zs of the heating zone A, the strip S is formed into the waving state and heated at about 350°C or a highr temp. and carried to the slow cooling zone B and cooling zone C in order in the waving state and again formed to the suspending state at the catenary zone Zc2 of the cooling zone C and sent to outside of the furnace. By this method, the seagull wing is not generated and good quality of a product without any wrinkle is obtd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
