TITLE OF THE INVENTION.Method for observing by scanning a celestial body and formeasuring an angular velocity of a space vehicle,observation system for its implementation, and space vehiclecomprising it.ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThere is proposed an observation method byscanning of a celestial body (T) from a space vehicle (S)comprising an observation system by scanning with referenceto a scanning axis. It is characterized in that one forms(16) successively two signals (A, B) corresponding to thescanning, in a given directional series, of a given band ofground (BT), one detects (17) in each of these signals acharacteristic transition (A1, B1) representative of a givencharacteristic point of this band of ground, one reads (18)the relative position of these transitions in these signals,and one determines (19) from any divergence between theserelative positions an angular velocity (.omega.) of the spacevehicle, taking into account the time interval separatingthe instants where each of these transitions has appeared inthe aforementioned signals...
