A method for the prepn. of plastic plates comprises (1) curing a binder layer covered with particulate material, applied to one side of a material sheet, and (2) injection moulding an integral plate section onto the other side of the sheet. Pref. the particulate material is mineral or glass particles and the plastic is polyethylene terephthalate.
