PURPOSE: To ensure opening of a relay switch of a safety relay by surely detecting abnormality that can affect anti-skid brake control, although the voltage variation of a low-side voltage VS is relatively small. ;CONSTITUTION: When a low-side voltage VS is lower than an OFF voltage of a modulator during OFF-period of a low-side switch 32, a signal is output to a microcomputer 51 by a switch-off terminal voltage surveillance circuit 46, and it is judged that the microcomputer 51 is in an abnormal condition. When the low-side voltage VS is higher than the voltage of the modulator during ON-period of the low-side switch 32, a signal is output to the microcomputer 51 by a switch-on terminal voltage surveillance circuit 47, and it is judged that the microcomputer 51 is in an abnormal condition. The switch 45 is turned OFF, and a safety relay 42 is opened by the microcomputer 51 due to the detection of abnormality.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
