The coaxial connector (1) is mounted on a side wall of a microstrip holder (3) with a microstrip dielectric slab (2) mounted in the holder. The interface is provided by a flexible dielectric microstrip line (10). The rear surface is a conductor, and connects to the earth of the connector, slotting into the connector so that the inner connects to the microstrip line (12). The other end of the flexible dielectric rests on the top surface of the fixed microstrip slab, and a conducting strap connects to the microstrip line (7). A second conducting strap connects the earth conducting surfaces of the two microstrip dielectrics together. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and economic to implement, and takes up reduced space. High frequency connection is resistant to thermal-mechanical constraints.
