A screw is produced that allows use in such a way that it may be released from a locking position while being held captive. The threaded stem (16) has a section from which the thread is removed (15). When used as part of an electrical wire (22) clamping terminal the main stem engages a threaded hole. When released in order that the wire can be removed, the screw is undone until the section free of thread is engaged. ADVANTAGE - Prevents loss of screw in released position but can be released without damage under set conditions.
