Measuring gas concn. esp. of ozone in medium - measuring radiation absorption of gas in cuvette and comparing with absorption in reference medium, e.g. medium with gas removed
The medium under investigation and the reference medium are fed to respective cuvettes (17, 26). The latter are alternately brought into the photometer's beam path. The measurement gas is removed from the medium under investigation by chemical reaction after leaving the cuvette and the resulting medium is used as the reference medium. ADVANTAGE - Allows continuous operation for accurate, simply obtained measurements.
