Multiple fluids simultaneous infusion system for medical applications - has gravity and pumped infusion with sensors detecting droplets coupled to alarm
The fluid infusion system has a pair of gravity fed units (2, 3) in which fluids are passed through droplet chambers (5, 6) to tubes connecting (10) to a patient input drip line (11). Droplets are detected by monitoring unit (25) that uses photo detector (17, 18) stages. An alarm is triggered to indicate an abnormal conduction. Infusion can also tube place using a pumped infusion module (13) that has a piston type pump (15) powered by a linear drive (14). ADVANTAGE - Pumped or gravity fed infusion with electric monitoring.t
