Adaptively setting fuel-air mixt. ratio to fuel properties - responding to deviations from desired value of engine operation parameters with variable rate of mixt. adjustment
Adaptively setting fuel-air mixt. ratio to fuel properties - responding to deviations from desired value of engine operation parameters with variable rate of mixt. adjustment
The controller (17) of the fuel injection valve (13) receives signals from a fuel gauge (18) in the tank (15), from the ignition switch (19) and from a lambda probe (16) in the exhaust manifold (12). A basic injection time is worked out (20) from engine speed (n) and load (x) for multiplication (24) by an adaptation factor (AF) from an integrator (23) of lambda deviation (25) from its desired value. A proportional-integral adjustment factor (RF) is introduced from a lambda regulator. USE/ADVANTAGE - I.C. engines burning mixt. of petrol and methanol. Reliable lambda control operates without special and costly mixt. sensor.
