PURPOSE:To shorten a read time, to prevent the erroneous coating of an adhesive and to continuously perform only perforating processing at the time of trouble or maintenance by providing a lapping apparatus for lapping printed books after confluence in a conveyor apparatus on the upstream side of a case- marking apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A lapping apparatus bringing met printed books to a lapped state suitable for the supply to a case-marking apparatus to send the same to the case-marking apparatus is used. When the feed system of the case- marking apparatus 4 is a stream system (wherein the next printed book gets under the previous printed book to be fed in an inserted state), the printed books W independently flowing one at a time from a conveyor apparatus 2 are lapped and arranged in an inserted state to be sent into the case-marking apparatus 4. By this method, the capacity of a perforation apparatus and that of the case-marking apparatus are made well-balanced.
