The other part (8) of the rotary resistance (7,8) is connected with the cleaner housing (2) working together across a gear unit (9,10). The housing (7) of the rotary resistance (7,8) is fixed at the slider (4). The part (8) rotating compared to the slider (4) is coupled across a gear wheel (9) to the cleaner housing (2). The gear wheel (9) is a pinion, which meshes with a toothed rack (10) arranged in the cleaner housing (2), which runs parallel to the guide track of the slider (4). USE/ADVANTAGE - Vacuum cleaner with manually adjustable slider. With simple space saving construction min. loading of rotating resistance is attained.
