In order to enable a simple exchange of the sound-emission pick-up (1) under uniform conditions of the coupling, it is provided that - the sound-emission pick-up (1) is mounted on a vessel (2), - the vessel (2) contains a liquid coupling medium (3) and - the sound-emitting or sound-transmitting part (4) dips into the liquid coupling medium (3). Sound emission pick-ups (1) held in reserve can then already be mounted beforehand, by means of a hardenable coupling adhesive (5), on to the vessel (2), that is to say the exchange is not delayed by the long hardening times of about 8 to 10 hours of the coupling adhesive (5). In sound-emission analysis, on exchanging the sound-emission pick-up (1), a renewed calibration of the measuring chain can be dispensed with as a result of the constant coupling conditions. IMAGE
