PURPOSE:To lessen the amounts of vertical and horizontal moving of float by a method in which the weight of a casing is made slightly greater than the buoyancy and a cavity to allow the coming-in and-out of water from the outside is provided. CONSTITUTION:In a soft landing float type artificial ground consisting of a casing 1 settled on a base structure 8 on the bottom under water, which is coupled with a dolphin 9, the weight of the casing 1 is slightly greater than the buoyancy acting on the casing 1 and a cavity 4 is formed near the draft line of the casing 1. An opening 16 is through which water comes in or out of the cavity 4 is formed on the outer wall of the casing 1. The casing 1 becomes softly landed on the foundation structure on the bottom under water. Also, since water comes in and out of the cavity 4, little effect of the buoyancy is exerted on the casing 1.
