Device for the aseptic handling of the connectors of transfer devices on exchange of bags during continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), and plastic bag filled with dialysate
Exchange of bags during continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) takes place using a disposable bag of thin transparent film as a protective sheath, providing a seal towards the outside, for all connectors, including protective caps of transfer devices, subject to aseptic handling. Once a liquid disinfectant has been passed into the disposable bag the patient can re-plug the connectors from the outside without having to carry out any disinfecting measures on his body.
