NEW MATERIAL:1-Methyl-1-[ ( 2-cyclohexyl-r-2-phenyl-1, 3-dioxoran-t-4-yl )meth- yl ]-piperidinium p-toluenesulfonate. USE:Synthetic intermediate of autonomic nerve blocker: they are very useful for synthesizing the trans isomer of the compound of formula II. PREPARATION:The reaction of a compound of formula III with N-methylpiperidine affords the compound of formula I. The reaction is carried out in the absence or presence of a solvent such as methanol at room temperature to 250 deg.C. The compound of formula III is obtained through, e.g., following steps the reaction of cyclohexyl phenyl ketone with glycerol or glycidol, the tosylation of the product and the fractionation recrystallization.
