Instead of using a special wide-angle lens having the disadvantages of picture distortions in certain zones of the photograph taken at the standard size, in the described wide-angle camera according to the invention a lens having a smaller angular field is moved along a film strip which is uncovered for the purpose of exposure, preferably in a rotary movement, giving rise to an undistorted and, to the viewer, natural long picture of the selected area of the picture or view.
