In a communication passage part (22) which can be attached to an end (20) of a carriage body, inner and/or outer sealing means (2, 10) permit a communication passage installation (21) to be provided in which persons are protected from external influences, in particular pressure waves. For this purpose, two angular frames (1) which slide or roll on one another in the plane of separation and which are connected to the two ends (20) of the coach body in a floating or cardanic fashion by means of spring-mounted elements (3) are provided. The angular frames (1) which are arranged so as to slide or roll on one another are pressed one against the other in an essentially pressure-wave-tight fashion by means of spring-mounted elements (3). Sealing diaphragms (2) which are U-shaped with respect to the longitudinal axis of the coach are arranged between the angular frame (1) and the ends (20) of the coach body. This communication passage part (22) forms, when symmetrically coupled with an identical part (22), a communication passage installation (21) which is virtually pressure-wave-tight.
