PURPOSE:To enable accurate detection of flow of a powderous substance, by measuring pressure fluctuation in a transporting piping as a pressure vibration, and obtaining an integrating value in a unit of time of the vibration energy after subjecting said vibration to a frequency analysis. CONSTITUTION:A flowmeter is provided on the side wall of a blow pipe 3 and/ or on the side wall of a pulverized coal supply pipe 4 with pressure vibration detector 5 and/or 6 detecting the pressure change in the pipe with the lapse of time and detecting the changing aspect as a pressure viration and a pressure change caused by injection of pulverized coal C is detected in a continuous manner.
