The use of 4-aminopyridine and its congeners or derivatives to neutralize drugs that act at or on the receptors of the nervous system, particularly dopamine receptors, such as butyrophenones and congeners or derivatives is described. 4-aminopyridine is used alone or in combination with other drugs such as hydrochloride or naloxone hydrochloride yohimbine. The use of 4-aminopyridine solves the problems of too high doses of drugs that act at or on the receptors of the nervous system, particularly dopamine receptors in reversing the effects of toxic quantities or toxic dosages.
