The invention relates to a workplace mat for humanising the workplace. So that mats of this type can be used not only for heating, but also for cooling, it is proposed, according to the invention, that this (1) is made elastically and/or plastically deformable and is reinforced with ducts (3) or tubular bodies (3, 7) which carry hot and/or cold media. The mat-like bodies (1) are provided with conical, tongue-shaped limiting faces (2). The bodies (1) have inflow and flow-off ducts (4, 5) or tubular bodies with connecting ducts (3). The mat can be connected releaseably to a protective mat (10) against external damage. Also, an insulating mat (6) can be attached releaseably. The workplace mat (1) can also be of link-shaped design, and the links (8) can consist of chain-like or ellipsoidal wire bodies and are connected via joints (7) designed as media-carrying tubular bodies.
