PURPOSE:To efficiently and economically treat excavation residual soil as well as enable the mud water contained in the residual soil to be reused as a stabilization liquid by a method in which the excavation residual soil containing mud water is subjected to a vibrating treatment so as to separate the mud water from the excavated residual soil of lessened moisture content. CONSTITUTION:Excavated residual soil 5 containing mud water 2', generated in the formation of underground trench 1 by a mud water construction work, is charged into a soil tank 3 and then subjected to a vibrating treatment by a vibrator 4. Whereupon, the mud water 2' is separated from the excavation residual soil 5 in the soil tank 3 and gathers in a mud water storage 7 through a partition plate 6 with small holes. The mud water 2' in the storage 7 is recovered by a pump 8, etc., and sent into the underground trench 1 to use it as a stabilization liquid. The excavation residual soil 5 of lessened moisture content in the soil tank 3 is delivered by dump truck, etc., to a soil dump site.
