The brake disc (7) is intended for a railway vehicle disc brake system. It comprises a carrier (1) on the axle having an end face (11) extending in radial direction and engaged by a corresponding end face (13) of a friction ring (5) secured to it by axially extending bolts (19). The ring carries the friction surfaces. The end face is at an angle (alpha) relative to the radial median plane (10) of the disc, thus forming a conical annular surface, whilst the end face (11) is parallel to it. the bolts preferably extend through clearance bores (15, 17) so that the ring and carrier are held together frictionally.
